We’re thrilled to announce that Cultivation Works has received a $15,000 grant from the Healthy People Healthy Places program of the Elmina B. Sewall Foundation to expand its growing capacity and garden facilities!
Teenie Greenies microgreens are Cultivation Works’ new social enterprise, marketing to restaurants and retail markets. Microgreens are newly sprouted herbs, greens and flowers, usually with only their “cotyledon” and first true leaves developed. Baby plants offer a more concentrated source of the healthy active compounds found in mature plants. Not only do microgreens look pretty and have strong flavor, but they also have an incredible punch of nutrition!
Flavors tend to be subtle, and range from Mild Medley to Spicy Serenade. Fine chefs and home cooks alike use them as flavorful garnishes for entrees and to add unique tastes and textures to salads and sandwiches.
Our microgreens are grown with non-GMO seeds, organic soil, plenty of sunshine, and love.
Price per tray: $20 (11″ x 22″)
Mild Medley: A mizuna, cabbage, kale and kohlrabi mix.
Beet Rubato (Bull’s Blood Beet): A mild beet flavor with deep burgundy leaves.
Radish Vivace (Daikon Radish): White stems, spicy flavor.
Spicy Serenade: A colorful blend of red and green mustards.
